A Christmas Message from our Chairperson
Hi,
I am Lana Salome Kurasidze, Chairperson of BADIG.
I wanted to take this opportunity to wish you all a very Happy Christmas and my very Best Wishes for the New Year.
This has been another challenging year for all of us.
For people with disability – like me and possibly you – it has been another year of taking special care to minimise the risk of infection from covid. It can be a real pain! But human beings are resilient – and disabled people are particularly good at adapting to meet new challenges! That is partly the reason for the photo I have chosen for this post – to demonstrate that disabled people are just as capable of ‘doing their thing’ as anyone else, anytime!
Here at BADIG we hope that 2022 will offer more opportunities for us to meet with local people in person – and we look forward to welcoming you back to our headquarters at Sillogue Neighbourhood Centre in the not too distant future. Until then, please join us in one of our regular monthly meetings – the details are always posted on the website, our next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday 11 January from 2:30 onwards. We would love for you to join us, even for a quick ‘hello’!
Until then, I hope that you all have a peaceful and happy holiday time.
Nollaig Shona Dhaoibh!
Lana Salome Kurasidze
Chairperson
